As we all know Google Business Listing (GMB) doesn’t cause even a penny! This free tool helps business owners manage their online presence across the search engine. Creating a GMB profile is the initial step to local search success.GMB offers great benefits for the brands looking for local exposure. Below are some important information that you must optimise in your GMB listing.

Business Name:- The smartest way is to keep the business name consistent with what is currently listed on your website. 

Business category:- The category you pick is what defines your organisation and introduces you to clients who are looking for the services you provide. You should consider a keyword strategy approach when adding a business category. Because category is also a factor that affects the local ranking on Google. 

Description:- Google shows only the first 250 characters of the description in the knowledge panel of GMB, thus prioritize the information accordingly. The description should be impressive to your customers and also don’t forget to add your keywords in the description.

Upload better images:-  Google itself mentioned that the ‘Businesses with photos are more likely to receive requests for driving directions to their location, as well as clicks through to their websites, than businesses that don’t have photos’. There are three types of photos that you can add to your Google business. That is Logo, cover photos and additional photos. So what’s waiting for? Upload the high quality images to your GMB!

Get google reviews and Respond to your Reviews –   If you were to receive a list of businesses in search results, which one would you be most likely to choose? The one with more attractive yellow stars or one with no reviews at all? Yes, Obviously the one with more yellow stars!  So, The more you have the ratings, the more chance you will get noticed. Responding to the reviews will encourage the new customers to leave reviews for you.

Add your products to GMB – You can add your products through the Products tab in your Google My Business dashboard. This will make sure all customers search on the computer or a mobile device see the products you are offering.

Add the latest update post to GMB – What’s New post section in GMB is great for sharing general business updates, latest activities at the company, blog posts and more. Also, GMB has a new type of post designed for announcements related to COVID-19. Some examples of such announcements are temporary closures, new operating hours, changes to regular service and more.
